A Life Of Faith Dolls Going Out Of Business AND No More Kirsten?

I cannot believe this! The A Life Of Faith dolls are going out of business on September 30! All their books, clothes, and accessories are 70% off. I'm so sad. : (

But GUESS WHAT?! I convinced my parents to order me a doll from ALOF for Christmas before they all sale out...... but I'm not saying which doll it is. ; ) You'll just have to wait to December to find out for yourself! Hint: I already have Elsie Dinsmore.

About american girl retiring Kirsten....... personally, I'm fine with it. I never read all her books because I thought that they weren't very interesting. But that's just MY opinion, and I"m sorry for all you Kirsten fans. Maybe A.G. will come out with another pioneer doll!

Chrissa For School Prez!

I guess the title says it all..... Chrissa is running for school president! Me and the A.A.G.D club (the rest of Bree's dolls), are so excited for her. Since Chrissa has experience speaking when she made that bullying speech at Edgewater Elementary, this ought to be not to hard for her.... but I'm not saying she'll win the election either.... but I hope she will!

As I was walking to the 5th grade hallway this morning, that's when I noticed the sign for the election. Before I even had a chance to finish reading it, Chrissa leaped behind me and asked if I'd help her make "voting posters" after school, so that's what made today really fun!

Below is a picture of a banner that Chrissa made... cute, huh? We came up with the slogan CHRISSA CARES.
And THERE is of picture of Chrissa, and ME making posters.

Hope she becomes school president! As Kit would say, ' I'll post soon to give you the latest scoop on the election updates!'

Talent Day

Today at school the students had to get up in front of their class and tell about their talent. The Girl Of The Year dolls are in one class, and the Historicals are in a different one, so me, Marisol, and Chrissa didn't get to listen to Samantha and them's speeches.

Marisol was the first one to talk about her talent..... which OF COURSE is dancing. I could tell she was stiff and nervous, but who wouldn't be. If you ask me, Marisol is totally brave.

Chrissa went next, and I can't believe what a natural born speaker she is!! The words she used to describe her love for swimming were so alive. I think every doll in the room was impressed.... especially our Creative Writing teacher, Miss Char.

Lastly, I had to get the nerve to go up there and just express myself... to talk about what I love most... skating. I mean, how hard could public speaking REALLY BE?

Overall, it looks like I did pretty well. I tried to use hand gestures alot, and to speak loud and clear. When I finished, Chrissa, Marisol, and even Miss Char gave me the biggest smiles and congratulated me! Maybe I DON'T stink at talking in front of people as bad as I thought.

O.k, I seriously need to get off the computer now. My skating session for the day begins in just 20 minutes!

Taking Over Kit's Blog For A While!

Mia here! Kit asked me if I could manage her blog for about a week, which I think will be fun. Hope I can get all my homework done too! ; )

As you can see, today I went to the skating rink to practice.

I'll be competing in the 2009 Regional figure-skating competition next month, so Coach has me working like a mad dog!
In the picture below, I almost fell down!!
Ahh...... my beloved Lucerne. The ice rink is like a second home to me! I don't know what I'd do without skating...... I was BORN an ice princess. (Just kidding!)

Hope everyone has a fabulous week! I have to go help my mom start a pot roast in the kitchen.... unless it's already ready and my brothers haven't stuffed their faces and left me nothing but a crumb.

P.S Like the orange background? I thought it would look more fit for fall!

VOLUNTEERING/ By Kit Kittredge

At home and school, many of Kit Kittredge's friends want to help other people:

Chrissa Maxwell will be volunteering at the Sunrise House for the homeless next Saturday, while Samantha Parkington is helping out at Cold Rock house Orphanage. She will also be asking for coats as donations to the children there.

Kit is thinking about raising money to donate to her local soup kitchen, or assisting the workers as they prepare the food.

Rebecca Rubin wants to ask the principle at school if he will discuss starting a Student Council Program, that way many kids could be involved in helping their community, and student body. "If Mr. Yang DOES agree to starting a Student Council team, I know that most of my freinds will DEFINITELY be on it; including me!", says Kit Kittredge.

The fact that these dolls are trying to make a difference in the world just goes to show you that ANYONE can help out in their town, and maybe even make a big impact!

Felicity Is Back, and Bree's List Of Dolls And Outfits

Guess what? Felicity used to be Sophie Lacroix, but now she has decided to go " back to being my dear 'ole self ", is what she says. So now, we have our Lissie back!! Ya, it's confusing. You may have already noticed to the side where "Meet The Dolls" is, that I changed Sophie's name to Felicity a while back. My camera is so terrible! Or maybe it's ME who's making the pictures all blurry.
Pose for the camera anyway, Lissie!
